Case Study: Morris+Mitchell Rebrand
The Context & Challenge
Since its founding in 2010, Morris+Mitchell has served as ACU’s student-run advertising and public relations agency. After more than a decade, the agency’s branding no longer reflected the evolving talent, voice, and vision of its student team. With inconsistent visuals, outdated messaging, and an aging website, the agency faced a challenge: how do we represent who we are now while honoring where we’ve been?
The Mission
The goal was to create a refined, professional, and approachable brand identity that truly represents the current generation of Morris+Mitchell. To bring that vision to life, the team:
Redesigned the M+M logo, typography, and color palette to reflect a clean, modern identity.
Revamped the website, starting with mood boards and wireframes, refining copy, translating designs in Adobe XD, and building it out in Squarespace.
Conducted a social media audit and developed a strategic content plan focused on brand awareness and community engagement.
Crafted new slogans and messaging that better capture the mission, voice, and spirit of M+M.
Built a cohesive visual system that ties together every platform, from web and print to social media.
Our Approach
We began by identifying gaps in the brand’s current presence visually, strategically, and digitally. Our creative team developed logo concepts, mood boards, and messaging explorations, while our copywriters reworked mission statements and web content. For the website, we started with wireframes and layout drafts, building out a prototype in Adobe XD, and then launched the final version using Squarespace. On the digital side, we performed a comprehensive social media audit, identifying areas for improvement and building a new content strategy with clear weekly themes and voice guidelines. From big-picture strategy to hands-on design, this was a full-agency effort.
